Project Manager - Cybersecurity Compliance

We’re looking for an experienced project manager to steer my clients cybersecurity regulation compliance program across engineering, product lines, operations, legal, and security. In this role, you’ll translate regulatory requirements into actionable plans, coach teams through issue resolution, manage risks and documentation, and keep senior leadership aligned with transparent reporting. Purpose of the Role:

To lead and coordinate enterprise-wide initiatives ensuring full compliance with applicable cybersecurity regulations. This role will oversee planning, execution, and governance of compliance-related projects across business units, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership:

• Develop and maintain the cybersecurity compliance roadmap, including milestones and deliverables.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, legal, product lines, operations and security teams.
• Inspire, encourage the team members to high level of motivation and commitment.
• Open problem discussion, effective issue resolution.
• Recognize team conflict, support and coach team individuals, to maintain team focus and meet targets together.
• Lead regular process reviews with the project team to improve their project approach.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Interpret cybersecurity regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Ensure conformity assessment processes and readiness for certification or marking as required.

Risk & Issue Management:

• Conduct cybersecurity-regulation-specific risk assessments and maintain compliance checklists.
• Identify gaps and implement mitigation strategies for non-compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary liaison for cybersecurity compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
• Organize workshops, training sessions, and communication campaigns for internal compliance awareness.

Reporting & Governance:

• Provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
• Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

Legacy Product Strategy:

• Define compliance approach for legacy products and coordinate remediation plans.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Project Management Expertise - Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred)
• Cybersecurity & Compliance Knowledge - Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Technical Proficiency - Familiarity with secure development lifecycle, vulnerability management, semiconductor design cycle, software development lifecycle.
• Leadership & Communication
• Analytical & Problem-Solving (Skilled in identifying compliance gaps and proposing pragmatic solutions)

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in project management within cybersecurity or regulatory compliance domains
• Experience in IoT, automotive, or semiconductor industries is a strong plus
