Terveystalo's Internship program is designed for students in the final stages of their higher education. We aim to create growth paths and new opportunities right before graduation. In the program, every intern joins a team of experienced professionals and has an opportunity to learn and develop their skills through genuinely interesting and meaningful tasks. During the program, interns are also provided with joint activities, allowing them to gain a broader understanding of our operations.
What does the role of Junior Developer involve?
During the internship, you will have the opportunity to learn about and work with diverse digital solutions. We have numerous opportunities for developing digital solutions, and there is interesting work to do well into the future. In this role, you will use and expand your skills in digital services using modern software tools. Assignments include programming and software testing, based on your background and the specific project you join.
You will be part of an agile product team under the guidance of an experienced software developer, familiarizing yourself with the technologies we use. We value an independent approach to solving software problems, self-learning skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Our product teams consist of skilled professionals committed to working toward a healthier life.
This position is a fixed-term, full-time paid internship for four months in summer 2026. The start date can be agreed flexibly, preferably between May and August 2026. Compensation follows the unions’ recommended salary levels for students at different stages of their studies.
Our offices are in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Kuopio. We work in a hybrid model with regular on-site days at our offices. In addition, interns’ joint onboarding meetings are held at our Helsinki office.

In this internship position we expect you to have prior hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React or other modern web technologies. You are studying or have recently graduated in a field where software development is part of the curriculum and you are familiar with modern development tools.
In addition, you understand the basics of Agile software development and of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP). You are a self-starter and you make things happen. This position requires good written and spoken English skills; Finnish is an advantage. It’s also an advantage if you can share personal or hobby projects (e.g., GitHub).
