Workplace

Hybrid role based in Madrid.

On-site attendance at the Madrid office is required at least two days per week (not negotiable).

Occasional international travel to customer sites.

Role

We are seeking a Senior PHP Backend Developer with solid, long-term professional experience working with PHP and Laravel in production systems to join our development team.

The ideal candidate combines strong backend expertise, sound database knowledge, and a disciplined, methodical approach to software engineering. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, applying established design patterns, clean architecture principles, and proven best practices.

Requirements

• Solid, long-term professional experience with PHP and Laravel (8+) in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, especially MySQL.
• Experience designing, producing, and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and tools such as Postman.
• Basic working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Residence in Madrid or ability to commute to the office at least twice a week (mandatory).
• Valid work permit for Spain (mandatory).
• Technical curiosity and the ability to research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies when they genuinely add value.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant technical certifications are appreciated.
