Python / Robot Framework Automation Engineer – Network Automation

📍 Remote (Romania-based only)

💶 €500 per day

We’re looking for an experienced Python & Robot Framework Developer to join a high-impact Network Automation team. This role focuses on building scalable automation solutions for complex network environments, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and improving end-to-end network validation.

What You’ll Be Doing

CI/CD & Test Integration

• Integrate Robot Framework test suites into Git-based CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab).
• Automate test case creation and result reporting between Robot Framework and TestRail.

Automation Development

• Design and maintain reusable Robot Framework keyword libraries.
• Develop automation for a range of network and test platforms, including:
• Cisco XR & NX-OS
• Arista switches
• Ixia traffic generators (nice to have)
• Terminal servers and Layer 1 switching environments
• Internal automation frameworks

Test Management & Quality

• Automate test generation from TestRail metadata.
• Ensure full traceability of test execution results back into TestRail.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Define and promote best practices for automation standards and reuse.
• Work closely with QA and Network Engineering teams.
• Continuously improve execution time, coverage, and framework capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills

• Strong Python development experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Robot Framework.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Solid experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
• Linux-based automation experience.

Nice to Have

• Background in routing and switching / network engineering.
• Experience with Ixia test tools.
• Knowledge of Cisco (XR/NX), Arista, MPLS, QoS.
