Introduction:

The Global Head of Advanced Analytics & Data Science (AA/DS) is a senior global leadership role responsible for scaling, governing, and commercializing Toluna’s advanced analytics, data science, and AI capabilities across the research business.

This role exists to ensure that advanced analytics and AI are not fragmented or experimental, but instead embedded, standardized, and impactful across client delivery, product innovation, and commercial solutions. This client facing role combines strategic ownership, people leadership, and hands-on analytical credibility, acting as a critical bridge between business needs, advanced methodologies, and operational execution.

A core success factor for this role is being an exceptional people manager—able to lead, coach, and grow a diverse global team while creating clarity, consistency, and high engagement in a complex, fast-moving, matrixed environment.

The role reports to the Chief Research Officer and sits within the Research organization.

Responsibilities:

• Set and own the global AA/DS strategy and roadmap, aligned with Toluna’s business, research, and AI priorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global AA/DS team, with strong emphasis on people management, engagement, career development, and succession planning.
• Establish and govern global methodological standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and appropriate risk management across advanced analytics and AI work.
• Oversee advanced analytics and AI delivery on complex or high-impact projects, ensuring outputs are robust, decision-ready, and commercially relevant.
• Drive adoption of AI (including generative AI) within analytics workflows, partnering with R&D and Innovation to operationalize solutions at scale.
• Standardize, automate, and productize analytics approaches, turning bespoke analyses into reusable tools, assets, and offerings.
• Partner with Sales, and Research leadership to design differentiated, analytics-led client solutions and support high-value proposals.
• Manage global capacity and budget for the AA&DS team, balancing client delivery, innovation, and long-term capability building.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Marketing Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10+ years of experience in advanced analytics, marketing data science, or quantitative research, with at least 3–5 years in people leadership roles
• Demonstrated success scaling analytics and AI capabilities in commercial, global environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior, non-technical audiences.
• Strong technical foundation in analytical and statistical techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and modeling approaches.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytics clearly and concisely.
• Experience working in matrixed, multinational organizations and leading distributed teams.
• Advanced English is mandatory
