General Description

This role supports engineering activities across projects and operations. The Junior Engineer assists in planning, executing, and monitoring technical tasks under supervision. This role requires foundational engineering knowledge, the ability to follow established procedures, and effective coordination with senior team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all operational works on multiple project sites simultaneously from handover through to project closure, including mobilization, procurement, installation, commissioning, monitoring, and demobilization.
  • Plan and execute all activities in accordance with the Method Statement, contracted scope, best practices, and client obligations. Report any variances to the Line Manager prior to execution.
  • Assist in preparing engineering plans, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain project files, records, and engineering data.
  • Operate basic engineering tools, software, and equipment as directed.
  • Handle routine site inspections, data collection, and reporting.
  • Support senior engineers in project coordination and problem-solving activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Deliver reports as required by the project or direct line manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Conduct any other tasks or projects assigned by the direct line manager.

Qhse

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Promote safety targets and zero tolerance for unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Decline requests to perform unsafe work and immediately report potential hazards to the Safety Officer.
  • Review relevant project specifications before work commences and monitor all activities to ensure quality and accuracy as per company standards.
  • Notify the Line Manager of any defects, errors, or variations identified.
  • Ensure completion of all applicable quality checklists.

Cross-Functional Support / Training

  • Set direction and objectives for team members and ensure the achievement of their development plans.
  • Collaborate with internal project stakeholders to resolve contract, documentation, and execution risks.
  • Identify problems and opportunities, escalating critical issues to the Line Manager.
  • Assist the Line Manager in preparing a six-month rolling manpower plan and justify resource requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of all necessary data, records, and reports for monthly project billing.
