Project Director – Data Centre

Role Purpose

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre projects, providing senior leadership to ensure safe, compliant, on-time and on-budget delivery from feasibility through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and govern multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors
• Act as senior client and stakeholder interface
• Oversee design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
• Own programme, budget, risk, and reporting
• Provide senior oversight of MEP and critical systems
• Ensure compliance with H&S, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Manage commercial strategy, change control, and risk mitigation
• Support operational readiness and transition to live environment

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience delivering data centre or mission-critical projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and commissioning processes
• Excellent leadership, commercial, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction, or related field
• Chartered status preferred
• 15+ years’ major project experience, including large data centre builds
