The Data & BI Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and overseeing the implementation of business intelligence processes and tools. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of data analysis, visualization, and BI tools, combined with a passion for ecommerce and crypto industry. You will manage the end-to-end data lifecycle, from data collection and transformation to reporting and analytics, and work closely with other teams to deliver actionable insights that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Data Strategy and Management:

• Lead the design and execution of the data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.


• Manage the end-to-end data pipeline, including data acquisition, cleansing, transformation, and storage.


• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all data-related processes.

Business Intelligence Reporting:

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track key business metrics (e.g., customer acquisition, retention, revenue generation).


• Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights to support decision-making across departments (marketing, product, operations, etc.).


• Develop predictive models and forecasting techniques to inform business strategy.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior leadership to define data-driven objectives and metrics.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and ensure alignment with business requirements.


• Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Data Governance and Best Practices:

• Define and enforce best practices for data governance, quality assurance, and privacy compliance (GDPR, local regulations).


• Implement and oversee processes to maintain high-quality data standards.


• Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve data and BI capabilities.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Manage a team of data analysts, data scientists, and BI specialists.


• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.


• Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for team members.

Experience & Background Required

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in a Data and BI management role, preferably in the ecommerce, fintech or crypto industry.


• Proven experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.


• Strong expertise in BI tools - ideally Metabase or similar (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and data visualization techniques.


• Familiarity with SQL, Python, and data analytics programming languages.


• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.


• Knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi) is a significant advantage.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
