We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Product Manager to drive the delivery of our newly formed product engineering team, based in our head office in Singapore. Our subsidiary offices are in Australia, Ireland, and the United States. This is a critical role where you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of a new SaaS platform from scratch. The ideal candidate will combine deep product execution expertise with a strong design sensibility to guide the team toward delivering a scalable, user-centric solution. While not required, experience in the data security space would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Roadmap & Prioritization
- Own the immediate and long-term product roadmap, ensuring features align with high-level business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Maintain a light touch on market trends to ensure the product remains positioned for success, adjusting the backlog as the market evolves.
2. Design & User Experience Collaboration
- Partner deeply with the UI/UX Designer to transform abstract requirements into intuitive, high-fidelity interfaces and seamless user flows.
- Actively participate in the design process using Figma, providing detailed feedback, annotations, and critiques to ensure designs cover edge cases and technical constraints.
- Bridge the gap between design and engineering (React frontend), ensuring that proposed UI/UX solutions are feasible and implementable within the newly formed team's scope.
3. Execution & Delivery Management
- Lead the product execution from concept to launch, translating business goals into detailed user stories and functional specifications.
- Drive the rhythm of the team, facilitating sprint planning and prioritization to ensure the continuous delivery of high-value features.
4. Feature Definition & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with engineering to define acceptance criteria, ensuring the final output meets our high standards for performance and visual fidelity.
- Work with the Lead Software Engineer to ensure non-functional requirements—such as scalability, reliability, and data security—are treated as first-class features within the platform.
5. Stakeholder Communication
- Provide clear visibility into project status, release timelines, and scope changes to the executive team and other key stakeholders.
- Manage expectations regarding trade-offs between scope, design polish, and time-to-market during the initial build phase.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Product Management experience, with proven success in building and launching SaaS products or features from the ground up.
- Proven experience working closely with high-performing engineering teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Design Literacy: Strong proficiency in Figma (viewing, commenting, and basic editing) with a keen eye for UI/UX detail. You must be able to articulate why a design works or fails.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to understand architectural concepts to communicate effectively with the engineering lead.
- Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps and manage a backlog effectively (e.g., Jira, Linear).
- Must be a self-starter with a delivery-oriented mindset, capable of navigating ambiguity to ship software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex functional requirements to diverse audiences.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Data Security, Cybersecurity, or Compliance domains.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, GDPR).
- Experience conducting usability testing or user research sessions.
