About The Role

We are seeking a Data Analyst I to join our Core Experience team at Acorns. This pivotal role focuses on analyzing and optimizing our Investing and Banking product lines by leveraging data-driven insights. The Data Analyst I will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Finance, and Operations, to transform raw data into meaningful insights that enhance the customer journey, improve product features, and support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the product roadmap by designing and maintaining dashboards, conducting deep-dive analyses, and supporting experimentation efforts through A/B testing and other methodologies. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably supporting product development or financial services
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts and experience with A/B testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tools including Databricks, DBT, and product analytics platforms like Amplitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a passion for delivering impactful, innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Core Experience team to ideate and analyze product experiments for Investing and Banking features
  • Build and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Utilize Databricks and DBT to transform raw data into clean, accessible datasets for analysis
  • Design and manage Tableau dashboards that visualize product performance and customer behavior
  • Monitor customer interactions and product metrics using Amplitude to identify opportunities for friction reduction and growth
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize projects, infrastructure improvements, and new tool implementations
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and product enhancements
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging data analytics tools to continuously improve analysis processes
