As part of Queensland Shared Services, you will lead a team of developers and administrators, delivering system administration, maintenance, and platform solutions. A significant focus of this role is the ServiceNow platform, used by QSS for service management. You will collaborate closely with technical subject matter experts and business analysts to deliver end to end platform maintenance, fixes and enhancements, based on organisation priorities.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop capability, monitor team performance, mentor and lead a team of ServiceNow developers and administrators to deliver end to end platform maintenance, fixes and enhancements, based on organisation priorities.
- Provide assistance and advice to support development activities and complete quality reviews of deliverables, including acting as the first point of contact for team escalations.
- Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve incidents, identify problems, perform root cause analysis and propose solutions, including maintaining regular contact with Incident and Problem Managers.
- Lead the implementation of updates and upgrades to the QSS ServiceNow system, critically assessing the required changes and impacts.
- Maintain up-to date knowledge on the platforms and software development best practices.
- Ensuring adherence to organisational governance and team processes and procedures across the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop and test system enhancements to meet business needs within agreed upon timeframes and quality requirements, ensuring the system design remains robust, fit for purpose and secure.
- Proven experience with the ServiceNow platform and software development including designing and implementing appropriate solutions and controls, including experience in application development languages such as java-script, AngularJS, CSS, XML, Jelly, HTML.
- Your ability to lead and coordinate team development and support activities to collaboratively deliver quality outcomes within defined timeframes.
- Proven experience in managing change through the software development lifecycle utilising methodologies and frameworks such as Agile and ITIL.
- Your ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, readily sharing your knowledge and experience with others, displaying excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical, conceptual and innovative problem solving.
- Experience with integration technologies such as API and Web Services.
- Minimum 1 year experience developing and designing ServiceNow solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in directly supervising permanent staff including all aspects of performance development.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team in an agile environment including
- ITIL4 foundation certification or equivalent
