Pointerpro is looking for a Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) who combines strong product intuition, technical credibility, and a relentless execution mindset.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who prefers building and delivering over presenting. You will own both product direction and technology execution, with a strong bias toward implementation and real-world impact.

To ground product and technology decisions in real customer needs, the CPTO will start by fully owning our Customer Service function for the first 3–4 months. This immersion is a deliberate and essential part of the role, providing first-hand customer insight that will directly shape product strategy and execution once the role transitions fully into CPTO scope.

Responsibilities

First Phase: Customer Service Ownership (First 3-4 Months):

From day one, you will hold the CPTO title, but your initial focus will be to fully own Customer Service, including people, processes, and outcomes.

  • Take full responsibility for the 6 FTE Customer Service operations and team (consisting of Customer Support and Customer Success)
  • Improve documentation and introduce an AI Product Support Agent to be used by customers
  • Establish a strong, structured feedback loop from customers into product and technology

This phase is critical to ensure that future product and technology decisions are deeply rooted in customer reality.

CPTO Responsibilities (Ongoing):

Product & Technology Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end product and technology strategy
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on customer insight, business value, and technical feasibility
  • Monitor technology evolution and proactively identify opportunities
  • Ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, and maintainable

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead and deliver transformation projects with minimal supervision (e.g. AI-powered customer or product features)
  • Take full ownership of outcomes: you are trusted to deliver on time
  • Stay hands-on when needed, including prototyping or occasional coding
  • Maintain a customer-first mindset: interruptions are acceptable when they help important customers

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and grow product and engineering teams
  • Set clear goals, measure performance, and adjust processes to help people succeed
  • Recruit and work effectively with external and remote team members

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in product and/or technology leadership (exact years less important than demonstrated impact)
  • Experience managing 5+ people in a software/SaaS context
  • Proven ability to build and ship SaaS products
  • Strong technical background (Angular, Laravel, VueJS) with credibility among engineers.
  • Comfortable working across product, tech, and customer-facing domains
  • Prior experience shipping AI features to production is a strong asset
  • Ability to work minimally 3 days per week in our Antwerp Office
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

Freelancers are welcome if they are explicitly looking for a long-term engagement and commitment. Short-term, hop-from-role-to-role profiles are not a fit.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a process-redesign role: agile practices, sprints, and tooling (e.g. Jira) are already in good shape
  • Not a “PowerPoint-first” or purely strategic role
  • Not suited for profiles who avoid execution or hands-on problem solving

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Ability to work from home (2 days/week).
  • Opportunity to grow with a dynamic tech scale-up, working with cutting-edge technologies like AI.
  • Enjoy a wider range of responsibilities compared to a corporate role. This allows you to take ownership of projects and work closely with management and other teams which will result in greater job satisfaction and a faster learning curve.
  • Opportunity to shape a SaaS product with real customer impact
  • A group of warm, welcoming people in an international setting, working from a beautiful historic building. Being in a shared office space, you'll be part of a lively community of startups and scale-ups, where connections happen naturally.
  • Regular and fun team activities (ask us about our ‘survival drop’ in the Ardennes).
  • There is an endless supply of delicious fresh fruit and excellent coffee (and the occasional bake-off between colleagues).
