About the Role
We are looking for a System Administrator. This role ensures local IT ownership and closes the gap in on-site system administration, user support, and infrastructure management. You will be responsible for stable day-to-day operations and alignment with global IT and security standards. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Tampere.
Responsibilities
- Provide user support and incident response
- Manage accounts, access, software, and licenses
- Set up and support laptops (Windows/macOS) and servers (Linux & Windows)
- Support network and office infrastructure
- Ensure business continuity (BCP support)
- Handle hardware inventory, procurement, and asset management
- Install and update system and application software
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software issues
- Interact with vendors, suppliers, and ISPs
- Participate in IT and security projects
- Prepare documentation, reports, and internal instructions
Skill Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator / Technical Support / HelpDesk Specialist
- Administration of macOS, Windows 11, Linux, and Windows Server
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration: identity and access management (Entra ID), device management via Intune, Conditional Access policies, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, and client-server architecture
- Hands-on experience with networking equipment: Fortinet, Cisco, Ubiquiti (UDM), MikroTik
- Understanding of NAT, Firewall, VLAN principles, VPN
- Experience in user support (onsite & remote)
- Hardware setup, diagnostics, replacement, and upgrades
- Office equipment configuration and support
- Experience with video surveillance systems and Access Control Systems
- Experience with HelpDesk and asset management tools
- Understanding of backup processes and BCP principles (backups, power stations, etc.)
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (SSO, SAML, OpenID Connect)
- Ability to analyze incidents and solve problems independently
- Strong communication skills, responsibility, and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central
- Experience with HelpDesk systems (Zendesk)
- Scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
