🚀 Backend Engineer – Kotlin / Spring Boot / AWS (B2B – Freelance)

📍 Location: Longpont, France (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite per week)

📄 Contract: 6–12 months, renewable every 6 months, upto 28 months

🔎 Context

We are building a new cloud-native backend platform and forming a dedicated squad of four senior backend engineers.

The mission is to design, develop, and deploy a scalable, secure, and observable backend solution, fully integrated within the AWS ecosystem.

You will work closely with an Architect, a DevOps Engineer, and a Product Owner, with the objective of delivering a robust first version within 3–4 months, following high engineering, security, and maintainability standards.

🛠️ Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Build scalable, maintainable REST APIs
• Contribute to cloud-native architecture and technical decisions
• Integrate services within the AWS ecosystem
• Ensure observability, performance, and security
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
• Collaborate within an Agile / squad-based setup

✅ Required Skills

• 6–10 years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Spring Boot, Core Java
• Experience with AWS
• Kubernetes and containerised environments
• CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Python for scripting or tooling
• Solid understanding of scalable backend systems

🎯 Profile

• Senior Backend Engineer with cloud-native experience
• Comfortable working in Agile environments
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Able to work hybrid in Longpont (2–3 days onsite weekly)
