AI Engineer | Conversational AI & Voicebots | DAX 40 | CologneBonn (Hybrid)

AI Futures has been retained to hire an AI Engineer for a DAX 40 organisation building production-grade Conversational AI and Voicebot systems on the Azure Cloud. This €30bn+ revenue enterprise is making a sustained investment in Generative AI across both customer-facing and internal platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on LLM-powered conversational systems, voice AI agents, and scalable production deployment rather than pure research.

Hybrid: CologneBonn region (hybrid, 2 days onsite)

Package: Up to €100k total compensation

The Role

• Design, build, and deploy Conversational AI and Voicebot solutions using LLMs on Azure
• Develop LLM-powered assistants and agents for voice and text interactions
• Integrate speech technologies (ASR / TTS) and conversational workflows (e.g. IVR, virtual agents)
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines to ground responses in enterprise data
• Work with vector databases (FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone, Chroma)
• Collaborate with platform and MLOps teams to deliver secure, scalable AI systems in production

The Candidate

• 1+ years’ experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or Data Science
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern LLM tooling (e.g. LangChain, Hugging Face)
• Proven experience building Conversational AI, Voicebots, or AI agents in production environments
• Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and RAG architectures
• Experience with voice or speech systems (ASR, TTS, IVR, conversational flows) is a strong plus
• Languages: German required, English a plus
