Senior Lead Project Manager – Data Centre Construction

An outstanding opportunity to join a leading international consultancy delivering hyperscale data centre construction projects across Germany and Europe.

We are seeking a Senior Lead Project Manager with a strong construction background to lead the delivery of complex, large-scale data centre builds. This is a client-side leadership role, responsible for overseeing the construction phase while maintaining full accountability across design coordination, commercial management, programme control, and stakeholder engagement.

The Role

• Lead the construction delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
• Act as the senior client-side representative during construction, managing contractors, consultants, and specialist trade packages
• Drive construction programmes, logistics strategies, sequencing, and phasing for complex live and greenfield sites
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, contractual, and regulatory requirements
• Manage project governance, reporting, cost control, change management, and risk mitigation
• Resolve construction-related technical and commercial challenges, ensuring uninterrupted programme delivery
• Lead, mentor, and develop project and construction management teams

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior / Lead Project Manager specialising in construction delivery
• Strong track record delivering data centre, mission-critical, or similarly complex construction projects
• Deep understanding of construction methodologies, contractor management, and site operations
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing major contracts and procurement strategies
• Confident senior stakeholder manager with experience operating in client-facing roles
• Professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, APM, PMP, or equivalent) desirable
• Fluent English required; German language skills beneficial but not essential
