A Global semiconductor giant based in Cork are seeking to bolster their team with a talented Sensors Engineer to join the embedded team.
Please note this opportunity is based on-site in Cork and requires rights to work in Europe already in place before starting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software in C and C++ (modern standards preferred) for fixed- and floating-point sensor-based designs
- Architect software frameworks and modules across CPU, embedded MCU, and GPU platforms
- Implement system algorithms, perform debugging, verification, optimization, and generate reports and documentation for design and user guidance
- Balance engineering trade-offs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexity while ensuring efficient implementations
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and sensor vendors on new technology demonstrations, tool development, and system integration
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 1+ years of relevant experience, or PhD in a relevant field
- Strong C/C++ programming skills, ideally using modern standards, with experience in unit and system testing frameworks such as Google Test
- Familiarity with SoC architectures and the ability to assist in the design of HW models and supporting tools
- Proficiency in at least one interpreted language (e.g., Python)
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the full product lifecycle, from R&D to commercial deployment
