Job Purpose

The Junior Associate – Investment Risk will be an integral part of the Waystone team and will play a pivotal role in proactively managing and supporting their clients and funds from a commercial and governance perspective as well as representing Waystone at external events.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Monitoring of portfolio risks

  • Monitor investment compliance (legal framework restrictions and investment strategy limits) and all levels of risk (market, credit, counterparty, liquidity, sustainability).
  • Ensure timely checks, production and delivery of risk and compliance reports.
  • Effectively escalate, communicate and report breaches to fund managers and to the CSSF.
  • Assess and produce funds’ risk profile
  • Follow up on client requests and ad-hoc investment product eligibility analysis.

Your Profile

  • Hold a master’s degree in finance, risk management, business engineering, or mathematics.
  • A first experience in Finance is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg’s fund industry and portfolio risk oversight framework for UCITS investment funds.
  • Fluent in English with very good writing and verbal communication skills. Any other language would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in Python and/or VBA would be considered as an advantage.
