Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices to support end-to-end application development and post go-live maintenance. The role involves working in a banking environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality solutions in an Agile setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 8 or higher, Spring Boot, and Microservices
- Develop and consume REST and SOAP web services
- Support end-to-end delivery, including development and production maintenance after go-live
- Work with Azure DevOps for code deployment, repositories, and code reviews
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders in a customer-facing role
- Follow Agile methodologies and contribute actively to team ceremonies
- Apply strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and summarize key technical and business insights
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with Java 8 or higher
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
- Experience with REST and SOAP web services
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps (deployment, repositories, code reviews)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Git version control
- Experience using Eclipse / IntelliJ IDE
- Build and dependency management using Maven
- Experience with Jenkins
- Understanding of Docker concepts
- Experience working in a Banking domain
- Strong understanding of Agile concepts and practices
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
