Senior Java Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices to support end-to-end application development and post go-live maintenance. The role involves working in a banking environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality solutions in an Agile setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 8 or higher, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Develop and consume REST and SOAP web services
• Support end-to-end delivery, including development and production maintenance after go-live
• Work with Azure DevOps for code deployment, repositories, and code reviews
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders in a customer-facing role
• Follow Agile methodologies and contribute actively to team ceremonies
• Apply strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and summarize key technical and business insights

Essential Skills

• Strong experience with Java 8 or higher
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
• Experience with REST and SOAP web services
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps (deployment, repositories, code reviews)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Git version control
• Experience using Eclipse / IntelliJ IDE
• Build and dependency management using Maven
• Experience with Jenkins
• Understanding of Docker concepts
• Experience working in a Banking domain
• Strong understanding of Agile concepts and practices
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
