Elastic Search Engineer (Kubernetes/Observability) — Hagie (Hybrid)

Overview

We are looking for an Elastic Search Engineer to maintain and improve an on-premises Elastic stack and observability platform running on Kubernetes.

• Location: Hagie / hybrid
• Rate: 550 EUR/day

Tasks to be performed

• Elastic Search: Maintain and improve on-premises Elastic Search infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• OpenTelemetry (OTel): Standardize the generation, collection, and export of telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces) from applications and infrastructure.
• Observability: Maintain and improve on-premises Observability infrastructure.
• Automated deployments & configuration: Implement and manage automated deployment and configuration processes for Elastic Search and Kibana resources.
• Operational support: Assist in day-to-day activities related to Elastic Search and Observability.
• CI/CD support: Facilitate and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Deployment procedures: Establish and maintain standardized procedures for deploying information systems.
• Infrastructure monitoring: Monitor and maintain the Observability infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Technical review & design: Conduct technical reviews, provide assurance, and design deployment strategies.
• Terraform development: Develop and enhance deployment processes using Terraform and related tools.
• Sprint work: Perform tasks assigned by the product owners during sprints.

Candidate profile (high level)

• Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Search and Kibana.
• Production experience running on Kubernetes (on-prem).
• Solid understanding of observability (logs, metrics, traces) and OpenTelemetry.
• Automation mindset: IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD.

Security clearance required: the candidate must obtain a security clearance no later than 10 weeks after the starting date of services.
