The role
Preventing Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing is one of the key aspects for our society and our organization, and as a bank we play a major role in this field. The area Customer Due Diligence Retail NL (CDD RNL) Detection optimizes our current CDD models and uses advanced analytics methodologies and machine learning to detect risks in the Retail NL customer portfolio.
As a Data Scientist, you will analyse customer data to identify potential risks and suspicious activities. Additionally, you are part of the larger D&A Community within Rabobank which you can build on and contribute to, for example share insights and best practices in data analysis, or participate in workshops and hackathons to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
The CDD RNL Detection area is organized in 12 multidisciplinary squads filled with ambitious, smart, and motivated professionals. You will promote data-driven approach and advocate for the implementation of data science into various business activities.
You and your future
During our Early Career program, you’ll develop your career over 18 months by becoming an expert in your field. Throughout the program, you’ll stay with one team and receive training to enhance your hard skills. You’ll be paired with a buddy who will guide you in navigating the bank. For your personal development, you and your fellow starters will follow the Early Career Program and receive guidance from a Data & Analytics Development Consultant. We’re here to prepare you for your personal success!

- We are aiming for a start date of April 2025 but we are flexible!
- Workweek: 40 hours

You and Your Talent
- Educational Background: You have obtained a master’s degree or a doctorate in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Work Experience: Approximately 0-2 years of work experience.
- Residency: Currently living in the Netherlands.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative analysis into comprehensive information for higher management and business users.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Python(PySpark) and/or SQL.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language.
- 4007,83 gross per month (scale 7), holiday allowance and thirteenth month salary
- An Employee Benefit Budget of 10% of your monthly salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
- Personal budget of € 1.400 to spend on activities related to your personal development and career flexible working times and location-independent working
