We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Controller to join our Finance Team. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional at the start of their career to gain deep operational insights into the luxury F&B and Hospitality sector while supporting our financial strategy and control environment.
Reporting to the Finance Director/Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and learning how to translate numbers into strategic business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Your mission will be to assist the finance department in maintaining the integrity of our operations:
Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring all data is accurate and ready for management review.
Budgeting & Monitoring: Contribute to the annual budgeting process and help monitor periodic forecasts by identifying and flagging variances between actual and planned performance.
Operational Cost Analysis: Support the control of key F&B metrics (COGS, labor costs, and waste), helping to identify opportunities for cost optimization across our units.
Data Integrity & Internal Control: Participate in regular audits of internal procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with Group standards.
Systems & Automation: Support the optimization of our ERP system and help streamline data collection to make reporting more efficient.
Audit Assistance: Help coordinate documentation for external audits and ensure tax/regulatory filings are prepared on time.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a "hands-on" professional with a passion for numbers and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, prestigious environment.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 1 to 2 years of initial experience in Audit (Big 4 preferred), Accounting, or Financial Control. We also value high-potential recent graduates with relevant internship experience.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting, or Economics.
Technical Skills:Advanced MS Excel skills are mandatory (you will be tested on formulas, pivot tables, and data organization). Familiarity with ERP systems is a strong plus.
Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to organize large amounts of data and a keen eye for detail.
Language: Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential.
Attitude: Proactive, resilient, and eager to learn the complexities of the F&B and Luxury retail business.
