As an AI Expert, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital parcel logistics, developing intelligent image-based recognition systems and control algorithms that drive industrial automation across Körber’s global supply chain solutions.
Your role in our team
You will take end-to-end ownership of AI-based detection applications, from system architecture and data preparation to model deployment in production environments.
You will design, implement and optimize real-time software components for high-performance machine vision applications.
You will test, validate and ensure the robustness and reliability of AI systems, meeting industrial-grade quality and safety standards.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including system architecture, mechatronics, software and controls.
You will continuously improve internal AI frameworks and integrate state-of-the-art open-source solutions and academic research.
You will contribute to the evolution of intelligent control algorithms used in automated logistics and parcel handling systems.
You will support the scalability and maintainability of AI solutions across global customer projects.
Your profile
You have a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
You have a PhD (completed or ongoing) or 5+ years of professional experience in Deep Learning and Machine Vision.
You have strong expertise in image segmentation, object detection and image classification.
You are proficient in Python and C++ and experienced in scalable training on local and/or cloud infrastructures.
You have knowledge of Reinforcement Learning, Robotics, Generative AI or Explainable AI (considered a plus).
You are passionate about applying AI to real-world industrial and logistics challenges.
You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in an international, cross-functional environment.
You are structured, results-driven and proactive, with a hands-on mindset.
You are fluent in English.
