Role Overview:

The Associate Director – Data Analytics & Visualization is accountable for transforming governed enterprise data into actionable insights to drive business performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. This role ensures that analytics, reporting, and visualization are accurate, consistent, timely, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards.

The position leads the development of analytics frameworks, KPI definitions, dashboards, and reports that enable business users, executives, and operational teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. The Associate Director partners closely with Data Governance and Data Operations teams to ensure insights are built on high-quality, compliant data, while fostering a culture of analytical rigor across the organization.

About the Job:

Key Role and Responsibilities:

Analytics Strategy & Oversight

• Define and implement enterprise analytics strategy, aligned with business goals
• Ensure alignment of KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic with approved master data
• Develop frameworks for enterprise reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics
• Partner with business and functional leaders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions

Data Analysis & Insights Generation

• Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, patterns, drivers, and risks
• Perform variance analysis, benchmarking, and performance reporting
• Identify inefficiencies, opportunities, and process improvement areas through data
• Provide actionable recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making

Visualization & Reporting Management

• Lead the development of dashboards and reports using Power BI and other tools
• Ensure clarity, usability, and accessibility of visualizations for business and executive stakeholders
• Maintain visualization templates, style guides, and best practices for consistency
• Optimize dashboards for performance, incremental refresh, and query efficiency

Governance & Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with Data Governance and Data Operations to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance
• Validate reporting and analytics outputs against governed master data
• Establish controls to prevent metric duplication, misalignment, or inconsistent reporting

Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead and mentor Data Analysts and Data Visualizers
• Build analytics and visualization capabilities across the organization
• Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and analytical rigor

Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Master’s degree, MBA, or professional certifications in analytics or visualization (e.g., Power BI, SQL) preferred
• 8–12 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise reporting
• 3–5 years in a senior or leadership role leading analytics or BI teams
• Proven experience defining analytics strategy, KPIs, and enterprise reporting frameworks
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and dashboard performance optimization
• Experience working in governed data environments and partnering with senior business stakeholders

Technical Skills/Competencies:

• Advanced analytics, KPI design, and performance reporting expertise
• Strong Power BI skills
• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and metric standardization
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
