In the role as an Analyst, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing the company’s revenues by conducting market analysis, assessing risks, building market intelligence, and developing strategies and products to manage the portfolio and exposures effectively. You will leverage your analytical skills, attention to detail, and technical expertise to provide actionable insights. Collaboration with Portfolio Management, Origination, and external counterparties will be essential to your success.


Responsibilites include (but are not limited to):

  • Evaluate new business cases, including implementing new technologies, entering new markets, and launching new products.
  • Build and maintain a market intelligence framework to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management and Origination to identify, analyse, and implement opportunities to optimize risk-weighted revenues.
  • Monitor market developments and regulatory changes, reporting on potential impacts to the business.
  • Analyse and manage large datasets to uncover insights and drive enhanced decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain tools or models using programming languages like Python for business analysis.
  • Design and manage database queries and operations; experience with SQL or Azure platforms is a strong advantage.


Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in economics, finance, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical and/or business development role, ideally in the energy industry.
  • Commercial mindset with strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience in working with big data operations and programming (Excel & Python preferred).
  • Critical thinking and the ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and initiatives.


Desirable:

  • Familiarity with database management tools such as SQL or Azure.
  • Proven ability to develop tools or models for business analysis.
  • Knowledge of energy markets and regulatory frameworks.


Additional information:

Berlin as a location would be preferred, but Baar, Switzerland would also be possible
