The Product Manager, Commercial Lending represents a unique "intrapreneurial" opportunity to build a new business line from the ground up. You will be responsible for the discovery, definition, and launch of Questrade’s Commercial and Specialty Lending vertical, navigating ambiguity to define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), including credit parameters, pricing models, and operational workflows. You will lead a complex, cross-functional effort to stand up this new vertical, collaborating with Credit Risk, Legal, and the Platform team to configure core banking systems for non-standard loan structures and collateral types.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
New Venture Leadership:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for commercial lending, from strategy and roadmap definition to the delivery of key initiatives.
- Define and manage the commercial product roadmap, prioritizing features based on market needs, credit risk appetite, and strategic objectives.
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies, working closely with Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations to build new adjudication and funding workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and the core platform team to define the requirements for adapting banking systems to support commercial loan structures.
- Ensure products adhere to internal Policy and Procedure guidelines and regulatory standards specific to commercial lending.
- Track and report on progress, providing regular updates to executive stakeholders on the status of the launch and portfolio health.
- Have a bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience in product management or product leadership roles within the financial services industry.
- Have 3+ years of direct experience in Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, or Specialty Lending
- Have proven experience launching new products or business lines (Zero-to-One); comfortable with ambiguity.
- Have a deep understanding of Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, or Specialty Lending.
- Have experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies.
- Have a strong understanding of how loan origination systems and core banking platforms need to be configured for commercial products.
- Have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Please note this role will be required to be in office 3 days a week
- Base salary range: $120,000 - $150,000
- The final compensation package will be commensurated with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
