About The Role

The Senior UX/UI Designer at Ford is a strategic and creative leader responsible for guiding end-to-end design initiatives that enhance user experiences across our mobility solutions. This role involves conducting comprehensive research, developing user-centered strategies, and executing both UX and UI design tasks to create intuitive and engaging digital interfaces. The Senior Designer will translate complex business requirements into clear, visually compelling designs, ensuring alignment with brand standards and user needs. Collaboration is key, as this individual will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of designs. Additionally, the role entails mentoring junior designers, facilitating design workshops, and participating in usability testing to gather insights for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about innovation, possess strong communication skills, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of UI/UX development experience
• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Experience with design systems, wireframing, journey mapping, and usability testing
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear visual designs
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers and product managers
• Knowledge of front-end development principles is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive UX processes including discovery, research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
• Translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive, visually engaging designs
• Create high-fidelity UI components, design system assets, and maintain consistency across platforms
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions to foster innovative solutions
• Utilize research, analytics, and user feedback to inform iterative design improvements
• Work closely with developers to ensure accurate and effective implementation of designs
• Present and defend design decisions effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Mentor junior designers, fostering their professional growth and skill development
• Participate actively in usability testing, research activities, and iterative refinement processes
