Role Purpose

The Vice President – International Corporate Relationship Management is responsible for originating, managing, and growing a portfolio of international corporate clients, multinational companies, and cross-border institutions. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive banking solutions, driving revenue growth, strengthening global client relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, credit, and risk frameworks in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of international corporate and multinational clients across key global markets.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor for senior client stakeholders (C-suite, CFOs, Treasurers).
  • Originate new business opportunities through structured trade finance, cash management, lending, treasury, and investment solutions.
  • Develop tailored financial solutions in collaboration with product teams (Trade Finance, Treasury, Structured Finance, Transaction Banking).
  • Build strong referral networks with international branches, correspondent banks, and external partners.

Credit & Risk Management

  • Lead credit origination, structuring, and approval processes in line with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, risk assessment, and due diligence for complex cross-border transactions.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and proactively manage credit risk.
  • Ensure adherence to AML, KYC, sanctions, and international compliance requirements.

Revenue & Portfolio Management

  • Achieve assigned revenue, asset growth, and profitability targets.
  • Optimize risk-adjusted returns while maintaining high asset quality.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell products to deepen client relationships and wallet share.
  • Prepare and present portfolio reviews, business plans, and performance reports to senior management.

Stakeholder & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with international branches, subsidiaries, and correspondent banking teams.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of client transactions.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to international expansion and global partnerships.

Leadership & Governance

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior relationship managers and associates.
  • Uphold the Bank’s governance standards, ethical principles, and professional conduct.
  • Represent the Bank at international forums, client events, and industry engagements.


Key Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in corporate or international banking, with a strong focus on multinational or cross-border clients.
  • Proven track record in international corporate relationship management within a regional or global bank.
  • Strong experience in credit structuring, trade finance, and complex international transactions.
  • Prior experience working in the GCC or MENA region is highly desirable.

  • Strong financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and compliance awareness.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
