Job Title
Senior Project Manager
Job Purpose
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the successful delivery of projects across the Group. The role ensures that projects are executed in line with strategic objectives, delivered on schedule, within scope and budget, and compliant with Group-wide operational standards, policies, procedures, industry best practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
The incumbent will prioritize and manage multiple projects, optimize resource utilization, support teams in resolving operational challenges, and ensure high-quality delivery through effective governance, stakeholder engagement, and execution discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Program & PMO Governance
- Establish and operate a fit-for-purpose PMO framework covering governance, planning, reporting, risk, issue, dependency, and financial management.
- Define and maintain program standards, templates, controls, and delivery cadence suitable for multi-year strategic initiatives.
- Maintain integrated program and project plans across all initiatives and workstreams.
- Ensure alignment between strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and execution priorities.
- Ensure adherence to Group operational standards, policies, and project management methodologies.
Consultant & Vendor Management
- Support the procurement, selection, and onboarding of external consultants and vendors.
- Define scopes of work, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria for consulting engagements.
- Act as the central coordination point for consultants to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with program standards.
- Monitor consultant and vendor performance against agreed timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Business Requirements & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the development and validation of Business Requirements, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and traceability to strategic goals.
- Coordinate inputs from business, operations, compliance, risk, technology, and investment teams.
- Manage dependencies across requirements, operating model changes, and implementation phases.
- Lead system testing activities including SIT, UAT, go-live preparation, and post-implementation support.
Stakeholder & Executive Reporting
- Produce concise, decision-ready reports and dashboards for senior management and governance forums.
- Facilitate steering committees, executive checkpoints, and design authority meetings.
- Serve as a trusted interface between sponsors, business leaders, consultants, vendors, and delivery teams.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, preferably in:
- Banking
- Finance
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Information Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a leading international bank or IT operations environment.
- At least 5–6 years in a supervisory or managerial role with responsibilities covering:
- Project Management
- Banking products and operations
- Business excellence and process improvement
