We’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our Engineering organization and help evolve the Data Surveillance Platform. This role focuses on building scalable backend services to deliver intelligent automation for clinical trial data processing.
The project is centered on the implementation of clinical solutions for pharmaceutical product development and testing. The process covers all stages up to manufacturing, and the solution is designed in a modular fashion.
This is you
- 3+ years experience building production ML/AI systems
- Strong Python/Typescript skills and familiarity with ML/AI frameworks
- Experience with data processing at scale, preferably Spark/Databricks
- Understanding of NLP techniques for semantic matching and entity resolution
- Comfort working with structured/unstructured data, schemas, and data transformation logic
- Ability to translate business problems into ML/AI solutions and communicate tradeoffs clearly
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) or clinical data structures
- Background in knowledge graphs or ontology-based systems
- Experience with Azure AI services
- Understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 or GxP validation requirements
- Design and implement ML/AI models for automated schema mapping between diverse partner data formats and internal CDISC-compliant structures
- Build data quality and anomaly detection pipelines that operate across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in our Databricks medallion architecture
- Develop and maintain AI services that integrate with our clinical data processing workflows
- Collaborate with Data & Integration teams to embed ML/AI capabilities into production data pipelines
- Create evaluation frameworks to measure model accuracy and mapping success rates
- Contribute to our broader Agentic AI Platform initiatives using Microsoft Agent Framework and Azure AI Foundry
