Required Education And Certifications Critical For The Role-
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Agile Certification (CSM, PSM) desirable.
- Working experience with Kanban.
- Working experience with SAFe or similar Agile at scale framework
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Agile Product Development or Service Delivery environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a full-time Scrum Master.

General Description Of Role
As a Scrum Master at ACIA, you’ll bring deep expertise in Agile methodologies and practices, guiding teams to success. You’re a natural facilitator who transforms meetings into dynamic, purposeful sessions where every voice is heard and every outcome is clear. You ensure the team stays focused on sprint goals and objectives, removing obstacles and encouraging continuous progress towards releases. Your coaching inspires teams to take ownership of their processes, and your keen eye for early conflict means challenges are resolved before they grow. Job Responsibilities
- Ceremonies - facilitate all key Agile ceremonies and planning activities, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and release planning, to ensure effective collaboration and transparency.
- Supporting estimation - guiding the team to estimate user stories and tasks, fostering shared understanding and enabling realistic commitments for each sprint.
- Removing impediments - actively identifying and resolving impediments that hinder the team’s progress by collaborating with stakeholders and external groups, so the team can stay focused on sprint and release objectives. Representing the team in Scrum of Scrums and other cross-team coordination meetings as needed.
- Collaborating with Product Owners - working closely with Product Owners to keep the product backlog organised, prioritised, and visible, and ensuring the team sticks to agreed-upon priorities and scope.
- Guiding the team in maintaining focus on their sprint goals and release deliverables.
- High-performing teams - supporting team development by managing challenges, resolving conflicts, guiding the team in handling interpersonal issues and promoting growth opportunities to improve overall performance.
- Leading continuous improvement - facilitating retrospectives and empowering the team to identify and own actionable opportunities for process and working enhancements.
- Promoting agile principles and practices - guiding the team in following established Agile frameworks and methodologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and improving delivery capabilities.
- Facilitating readiness for demos and releases - assisting the team in preparing for stakeholder demonstrations and releases, ensuring alignment and readiness for key milestones.
- Contributing to the Agile community of practice - collaborating with other Scrum Masters and Agile leaders to share knowledge, promote best practices, and advance Agile maturity across the organization.
- Possesses extensive expertise in Agile methodologies and practices.
- Naturally facilitates meetings, ensuring they are purposeful, engaging, and efficient for all participants.
- Experienced in working with multiple Scrum teams simultaneously.
- Skilled at coaching teams to foster ownership of their own processes.
- Effective as both a day-to-day coach and an occasional advisor.
- Able to identify early signs of team conflict and implement various strategies to resolve issues promptly.
