QUALITY ASSURANCE
What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a full-time Tester for our new testing group in Brazil. The person in this role will be responsible for running tests and reporting bugs within a major Epic product. You will work closely with the development team and help the testing group design and run the instructions for the daily testing. If you are interested in a fast-paced environment, capable of navigating interpersonal quandaries, and desire to work on a world-class QA team, then we would love to talk to you.
In this role, you will
- Execute and develop detailed test cases to ensure the quality of multiple products.
- Maintain comprehensive test cases based on predefined test scenarios.
- Investigate and analyze issues thoroughly to identify root causes, and communicate or escalate issues when necessary, keeping the broader context in mind.
- Provide the development team with reports on blocking issues, test results, and overall quality status while facilitating discussions around potential risk areas.
- Write clear and concise bug reports with detailed reproduction steps.
- Leverage knowledge of product features to identify issues and inefficiencies.
- Independently set your daily priorities
- Technical software or troubleshooting skills (degree in Computer Science or equivalent, self-taught, or relevant experience).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Experience with gaming consoles and/or mobile devices.
- Experience with software development and building games or software.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle and the role of testing within it.
- Proficient in logging defects in bug-tracking systems like Jira.
- Experience testing software within a structured QA team.
- Ability to analyze defect trends, identify coverage gaps, and provide feedback to prevent future issues.
- Knowledge of or prior experience with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, etc.
