We're partnering exclusively with a purpose-driven, product-led SaaS start-up that applies machine learning to solve meaningful, real-world problems at scale. Their platform supports organisations globally by turning complex data into actionable insights, enabling smarter decision-making and measurable outcomes.

Machine Learning here isn’t experimental or theoretical - it’s deeply embedded in the product. Models are deployed, monitored, iterated on, and directly influence how customers operate day to day.

Location - Sydney | Hybrid (1 day in office/week)

Salary - Up to $150k Base + Super + ESOP (dependent on experience)

What You’ll Do:

• Build, train, deploy, and maintain machine learning models used in live production systems.
• Work across data preparation, feature development, modelling, and inference.
• Improve model performance through experimentation, evaluation, and iteration.
• Operate and support ML pipelines, including monitoring, debugging, and optimisation.
• Partner with engineers and product stakeholders to integrate ML outputs into customer-facing features.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of data and ML infrastructure as usage and complexity increase.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience delivering applied machine learning in real-world, production environments.
• Strong Python skills with an engineering-first approach and focus on maintainable code.
• Solid SQL and experience working with large, imperfect datasets.
• Understanding of backend systems, data modelling, and production software practices.
• Ability to reason about data quality, statistical trade-offs, and modelling decisions.
• Degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Exposure to modern cloud-based data or ML workflows is helpful but not required.
