About The Role

As a People & Risk Administrator, you will provide essential support across the People & Culture and Risk portfolio, contributing to a smooth and professional employee experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting onboarding, offboarding, and HR administration processes
  • Assisting with recruitment, including position descriptions, job postings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, reference checks, and credentialing
  • Administeringreward and recognition initiatives such as the Always Striving and Service Award programs
  • Supporting AFL Official Registration & Accreditation processes and compliance audits
  • Maintaining HRIS data integrity, preparing contracts, and managing HR documentation
  • Contributing to wellbeing programs, diversity initiatives, and training coordination
  • Supporting OH&S and risk management processes, including committee involvement and workplace health initiatives
  • Developing and publishing people communications, and assisting with continuous improvement of HR and risk processes

At its core, this role supports the day-to-day work that helps our people feel supported, informed and set up for success, while ensuring our people and risk processes are delivered with care and consistency.

About You

You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and enjoy providing support across a wide range of HR and / or administrative tasks. You bring a people-first mindset to your work, with a genuine interest in supporting employees and contributing positively to our strong workplace culture. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with colleagues across all levels of the Club. You are committed to delivering high-quality service, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring processes run smoothly. You are confident using technology, particularly MS Office, and can quickly learn new systems, with experience in HRIS platforms highly desirable but not essential.

Ideally, you have completed or are nearing completion of tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources, or Industrial Relations. Proactive and flexible, you thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and are eager to support the broader People & Culture and Risk team.
