We are a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs. We take a highly specialized and targeted approach, applying our deep expertise across multiple vaccine modalities, focused on providing either first-, best- or only-in-class vaccine solutions.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor cell cultures in a variety of culture systems, such as bioreactors, shake flasks, roller bottles, cell factories and cell stacks
- Design and execute experiments for cell line development, media optimization and upstream process development
- Optimize and evaluate media formulations for various cell lines and microorganisms
- Perform routine cell culture maintenance and cryopreservation
- Analyze cell growth, viability, productivity and metabolic profiles
- Collaborate cross-functionally with downstream processing and analytical teams
- Document experimental procedures and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems
- Support technology transfer to manufacturing teams and external partners
- Bachelor's or Master's in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or a related field
- At least 3 year's of experience with mammalian (preferably Vero and CHO cells) and microbial cell culture techniques
- Relevant professional experience in the biotechnology industry is required
- Prior experience handling RG2/BSL-2 microorganisms, including viruses, and performing related analytical techniques (such as TCID₅₀ and plaque assays)
- Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques (BSL1-3), standard cell culture, and microbiological methods
- Familiarity with bioreactor systems (e.g. Sartorius, Applikon) and process control
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and documentation practices is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work occasionally on weekends
- Fluent in English, German an advantage

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 44.000 gross per year based on full-time employment. However our salaries are market oriented and in line with your qualifications and experience.
