Software Engineer – Up to €80K + Equity – Python, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes

We’re working with a rapidly scaling technology company in the sustainability space that’s building a data-driven platform to help energy organisations operate more efficiently and reduce their environmental impact.

Following a recent funding round, the company is expanding its engineering team to tackle complex optimisation, analytics, and data-intensive challenges at significant scale.

The role:

You’ll design, build, and ship backend functionality for a data- and optimisation-heavy platform. Working closely with product and engineering, you’ll help shape new features, solve complex analytical problems, and maintain high-quality, well-tested systems in a fast-moving environment.

Key skills:

• Strong backend development experience (Python, Java, Kotlin or C#)
• Experience building APIs and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Comfortable in fast-paced or startup environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Passion for engineering best practices and team culture

Nice to have:

• Experience in energy, commodity trading, or financial systems
• Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or Terraform exposure
• Experience with time-series data or data libraries (pandas / polars)

Salary up to €80K + Equity
