We're looking for an Android Native Developer to join our team and take ownership of Android projects from concept to launch. You’ll be working closely with product and design teams to build high-quality mobile experiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Android development and has successfully built and launched at least one app from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin
- Lead the development of new features and improvements in existing apps
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
Key skills:
- 4+ years of professional Android development experience
- Deep understanding of the Android platform (lifecycle, background work, performance, memory)
- Strong Kotlin skills, including coroutines, Flow, and concurrency
- Designs and maintains scalable Android architectures
- Writes testable, maintainable code and understands testing strategies
- Builds complex UI with proper state management
- Owns features end-to-end: design, implementation, release, and maintenance
- Works independently and makes well-reasoned technical decisions
- Diagnoses and resolves production issues (crashes, ANRs, performance)
- Communicates effectively with product, design, backend, and QA
- CI/CD and Play Store release experience
Bonus skills:
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Familiarity with Firebase, GraphQL, or mobile analytics tools
- Published apps on Google Play Store with a portfolio or links
