Position Overview

The Tech Analyst will play a key role within PIL’s Technology team, supporting the CTO in driving technical strategy, maintaining high-performance systems, and ensuring our crypto-asset infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and scalable. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, a deep interest in blockchain/crypto technologies, and the ability to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse system performance, platform usage patterns, and operational data to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Evaluate existing tools and processes, recommending improvements aligned with the CTO’s strategic roadmap.
  • Assist in designing, documenting, and refining technical architectures and workflows.
  • Monitor platform health, service uptime, and critical processes, escalating issues as needed. First-round identification, classification and handling of various system alarms.
  • Support the implementation of new features, integrations, and infrastructure changes.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on incidents and contribute to post-incident review documentation.
  • Build visual dashboards to analyze platform usage patterns, system performance metrics, and operational data, identifying weaknesses in operational resilience.
  • Regularly prepare and submit ICT operations reports and Risk Indicators (KRI) reports to support annual ICT risk reviews submitted to management and regulatory bodies (CBI).
  • Work with compliance, risk, and security teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as AML/CTF, MiCAR, GDPR, and cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Assist in implementing and reviewing security controls, audit logs, and system-access procedures.
  • Support the CTO in managing technology projects, including timelines, vendor coordination, and cross-team communication.
  • Prepare technical briefs, reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal and regulatory use.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex concepts into clear insights.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical, data, or systems analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, crypto-asset platforms, wallets, and custody technologies.
  • Has experience using BI tools such as Apache Superset for data visualization and report generation.
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, and basic scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
