**FTC for 12 months-with a view moving to perm**

I'm partnering with a leading client looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Data Scientist with 3–5 years of experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with data while also translating complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for a non-technical audience.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping them understand data, make better decisions, and uncover opportunities through advanced analytics and visualisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver advanced analytics and data science solutions to solve real-world business problems.
• Work with large, complex datasets to extract insights using statistical and analytical techniques.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate insights clearly.
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and present findings in a clear, compelling way.
• Design and support data models and contribute to ETL processes.
• Work within cloud and analytics platforms including Databricks, BigQuery, and Google Analytics.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in a data science or advanced analytics role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or R.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboard development and reporting.
• Previous experience working with Databricks, Google Analytics, and BigQuery in a production or project environment.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong grasp of statistical concepts (regression, hypothesis testing, inference) and the ability to apply them to practical business problems.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to explain technical concepts and present insights to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
