Sr. Software Engineer (Golang)

One of our clients is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a platform that leverages vast medical datasets to identify undisclosed adverse effects of pharmaceuticals.



ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of an Engineering Team, you will:

  • Participate in and/or lead architecture decisions
  • Promote Continuous Improvement by identifying processes, inefficiencies and quality improvements
  • Will work under minimal supervision
  • Participate in other projects or duties
  • Key responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain code for Justpoint services
  • Plan feature roll-out, and ensure high reliability and performance of your deliverables
  • Conducting code reviews and building robust test suites for your features
  • Success factors


Experience

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in back-end development
  • Experience developing microservices
  • Experience building highly available and reliable cloud-based solutions that can handle scale
  • Experience with message brokers
  • Excellent knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with DevOps techniques, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment models
  • Knowledge of cloud services (preferably GCP) and managing infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git)
  • Familiarity with security best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in working in interdisciplinary teams


Preferred:

  • Experience with Python or willingness to learn
  • Experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning, AI, and NLP in medicine/health care will be a plus
