As an HR Country Partner, your role will focus on driving strategic HR initiatives and supporting organizational transformation in Slovenia. You will act as a trusted advisor to local leadership, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture. A strong legal background or significant legal expertise is essential, as you will lead negotiations with unions and Works Councils, draft HR-related decisions, and ensure adherence to collective agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing payroll parameters and collaborating on compensation processes, requiring solid knowledge of pay structures and HR systems. This position combines hands-on HR expertise with strategic business partnering, offering opportunities to lead projects, coach managers, and influence change across the organization
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to local leadership, driving HR strategies aligned with business transformation goals.
- Provide expert guidance across all HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Ensure compliance with Slovenian labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies.
- Lead negotiations with unions and Works Councils, managing collective bargaining agreements and fostering positive labor relations.
- Draft HR-related decisions, policies, and documentation in line with legal requirements.
- Prepare payroll parameters and collaborate on compensation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with HR Centers of Expertise to implement talent management, performance, compensation, and learning initiatives.
- Coach and support managers on conflict resolution, crucial conversations, and performance improvement plans.
- Drive cultural initiatives, employee engagement programs, and organizational change projects.
- Champion the use of Workday and other HRIS tools, ensuring data accuracy and process optimization.
- Analyze workforce data to support strategic planning and provide actionable insights.
- University degree in Law is highly preferred; alternatively, a strong legal background or significant expertise in labor law is essential.
- Strong experience in union and Works Council negotiations and drafting HR-related legal documentation.
- Solid knowledge of payroll processes and ability to prepare accurate payroll parameters.
- 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role within a global or matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Slovenian (native) and English (written and spoken).
- Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Valid Category B driving license, as occasional travel to hospitals and company entities will be required.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
