We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who enjoys building fast, clean, and reliable user interfaces and who cares deeply about performance, simplicity, and real-world usability. This role is for someone who wants to own the frontend layer end-to-end and work on a high-traffic product used by millions of users.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in our central Bucharest office (Calea Victoriei).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance frontend interfaces for a large-scale web platform
• Take ownership of frontend architecture, components, and rendering behavior
• Translate product and UX ideas into clear, efficient user interfaces
• Ensure strong performance, accessibility, and consistency across browsers and devices
• Collaborate closely with backend and product teams to ship reliable features
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks and UI/UX issues
• Maintain a high standard of code quality, structure, and documentation
• Use AI tools extensively to accelerate development, debugging, and iteration

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a frontend engineer on production systems
• Strong experience with one of the following frontend frameworks, in order of preference:

- Solid (ideal)

- Svelte

- Qwik

- Vue (acceptable, lowest priority)

• Very good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Strong understanding of frontend performance, rendering, and browser behavior
• Experience building and maintaining reusable component systems
• Comfortable making heavy use of AI tools for coding and problem-solving (required)
• Ability to take technical ownership and make frontend decisions independently
• Senior-level mindset: pragmatic, responsible, and impact-focused

Nice to Have

• Experience working on high-traffic platforms (millions of users)
• Exposure to data-heavy or content-rich interfaces
• Experience collaborating closely with designers or shaping UI/UX decisions
