CAPEX Project Manager

Location: Solothurn

Engagement Type: Resource-based assignment - initial 6 months duration

For one of our clients in the Life Sciences industry, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Construction Manager to support small CAPEX engineering projects (typically around 500 kCHF). This is a resource-based engagement, not a consulting mandate or full scope of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate small CAPEX engineering projects from initiation to close-out
• Provide day-to-day project and/or construction management support
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Plan, schedule, and track project activities and deliverables
• Oversee on-site execution with focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule
• Identify risks, propose mitigation actions, and escalate when needed
• Prepare and deliver structured progress updates (status, risks, next steps)

Profile & Qualifications

• Proven experience as Project Manager and/or Construction Manager for small CAPEX projects
• Background in pharmaceutical or biotech environments, with solid GMP knowledge
• Ability to work independently and integrate within an engineering organization
• Strong organizational and reporting skills
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with sound judgment for escalation
