Responsibilities
- Act under the direction and oversight of the Board.
- Carry out and manage day-to-day activities of the VASP in compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements of VARA.
- Align activities with the business objectives and policies approved by the Board.
- Furnish necessary information for Board supervision and assessment of performance.
- Provide regular reports to the board of directors providing insights on operational progress, encountered challenges, and potential strategic initiatives for growth.
- Producing local business plans to be aligned with management to share the clear the short, middle and long term vision to improve and develop the regional business and execute the action plan.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and meeting profitability objectives.
- Enhancing company culture and coaching leadership teams towards becoming true business partners and setting a strong regional organization while considering the functions with the priority and evaluating the team properly to realize and execute the business plan toward the regional goal.
- Coordinate and direct through managers, all functions of facility operations of the Company.
- Act as the company’s primary representative in the country, ensure compliance with all government, financial, environmental and labor regulations. Representing local organisations and community service activities.
- Responsible to liaise with and perform relevant notification to relevant regulators.
- Foster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing the culture of High performance, Continuous Improvement, and Recognition.
- Other Adhoc tasks assigned by Group CEO.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ operational management experience within the financial services sector (experience in Fintech or blockchain related industry would be deemed an advantage).
- A thorough understanding of financial practices (Experience and knowledge in Virtual Assets and Related Activities (VARA) Regulation would be deemed essential).
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and profitability optimization.
- High commercial acumen, strategic, creative and able to clearly demonstrate a capacity to set high goals and standards for the smooth operation of the company
- Interest in blockchain and digital assets, and willingness to work within a highly collaborative start-up fintech environment.
- Strong interpersonal, well organised, detail oriented, presentable and with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English (Proficency in Mandarin would be deemed an advantage).
- Problem solving, time management and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, motivational, & interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex local requirements and implement practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
