Job Overview

As a Cybersecurity & ICT Support Engineer, you will play a key role in securing and maintaining VOCA’s digital infrastructure, while also assisting in ensuring secure, reliable end-customer deployments across edge devices and on-site environments. The role spans internal ICT operations, cybersecurity, customer technical support/commissioning, and development support, contributing to secure-by-design products and robust delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity (Internal + Customer Deployments)

  • Own and evolve cybersecurity best practices that safeguard VOCA/Optilift systems and customer-facing environments, aligned with relevant standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform threat awareness and risk-based hardening of endpoints, servers, and edge devices
  • Support and/or lead security incident handling: triage, containment actions, root-cause support, and preventive improvements
  • Design and maintain secure network architecture for customer deployments: segmentation, firewall rules, VPN, access control, and secure connectivity patterns.
  • Implement and maintain logging/monitoring and security visibility to reduce detection and response time.
  • Ensure security controls remain effective across the lifecycle.

Internal ICT Support

  • Provide in-house ICT support to ensure stable day-to-day operations
  • Administer and improve Microsoft environments: M365 services, Intune device management, Windows endpoint configuration, and Microsoft/Windows Server fundamentals
  • Maintain and improve core IT services.
  • Drive improvements to internal reliability and security through documentation, standard operating procedures, and pragmatic automation.

Development Support (Secure-by-Design Enablement)

  • Contribute technical expertise to ensure robust cybersecurity practices and high-quality hardware/software integration in selected development projects.
  • Partner with development teams to implement secure-by-default patterns: hardening guides, secure configuration, secrets handling, dependency/patch hygiene, and deployment checklists.
  • Provide practical input on architecture and operational readiness (secure remote access approach, credential strategy, network zones, monitoring hooks, update paths).
  • Improve internal and customer-facing documentation (deployment guides, security guidelines, troubleshooting flows).

Qualifications (Required)

  • Proven experience in ICT support and cybersecurity, including troubleshooting across endpoints, servers, and networked systems.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks/standards relevant to industrial/OT-like environments and regulated customer contexts.
  • Solid hands-on competence with Microsoft environments: Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows client management, and fundamentals of Microsoft/Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with Linux-based edge deployments: hardening, access control, logs, services, package management, update strategies, and operational troubleshooting in constrained/remote environments.
  • Practical knowledge of firewalls and network configurations: routing/switching basics, VLANs/segmentation, VPN concepts, secure remote access patterns, and troubleshooting connectivity in customer networks.
  • Experience designing or operating backup and recovery, including on-premises backup of cloud solutions, restore testing, and retention principles.
  • Experience using new tools, including AI-assisted tooling, to improve service quality
  • Scripting/automation to streamline provisioning, compliance, troubleshooting, or reporting.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint security tooling, and centralized logging/monitoring stacks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to document clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
