Job Title :- Technical Specialist
Location :- Toronto,ON(Hybrid)
JD:
8+ years of experience in SDLC projects with the following skills
• Experience with the .NET framework, including languages like C#, ASP.NET, and potentially VB.NET, to understand application logic and data access layers (e.g., ADO.NET, Entity Framework).
• Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data migration/ETL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI for reporting.
• Lead the planning, testing, and execution of SQL Server upgrades (e.g., from SQL 2016 to SQL 2022) with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with application development teams to ensure .NET applications (built on C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, etc.) remain compatible and perform optimally after the upgrade.
• Work with DB team to plan & implement data migration strategies, including ETL processes (SSIS), and ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the migration.
• Knowledge in Java is a plus
• Insurance domain knowledge is a plus
• Experience with AWS, specifically with cloud-based SQL database solutions
