Razer is hiring AI Algorithm Engineers - Generative AI to Design, develop, and optimize next-generation AI algorithms for game developers and gamers. This role focuses on generative AI algorithms, including reinforcement-based methods, diffusion models, and other probabilistic or neural generative approaches, to power intelligent game content, agents, and player experiences.
The ideal candidate has strong foundations in AI algorithms and model design, hands-on experience building generative models, and the ability to translate cutting-edge research into production-ready systems. You will work closely with AI engineers, game developers, and software engineers to deliver scalable and innovative AI solutions for gaming.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize generative AI algorithms, including reinforcement-based approaches, diffusion models, and related methods for content generation and decision-making.
- Develop AI agents and generative systems for game content creation, adaptive gameplay, NPC behavior, and player interaction.
- Research and prototype new AI algorithms to improve realism, diversity, and controllability of generated game assets and behaviors.
- Collaborate with game developers, designers, and engineers to integrate generative AI algorithms into game development pipelines and tools.
- Build and optimize AI-powered systems that enable dynamic worlds, AI-driven storytelling, and personalized player experiences.
- Train, fine-tune, and evaluate generative models using large-scale game and simulation data.
- Analyze model performance, stability, and generalization; iterate on algorithm design to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Assist with deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI models in production environments.
- Stay up to date with the latest research in generative AI, diffusion models, reinforcement learning, and related fields, applying relevant advances to real-world gaming use cases.
- Document algorithms, experiments, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing and potential external publications.
Pre-Requisites
Qualifications
- Strong background in AI algorithms and generative modeling, including reinforcement-based methods, diffusion models, and other generative techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
- Solid understanding of neural networks, transformers, probabilistic models, and optimization techniques.
- Experience training, fine-tuning, and evaluating large-scale generative models.
- Familiarity with LLMs, diffusion-based generation, self-learning systems, or multi-agent AI.
- Experience integrating AI models into real-time or near–real-time systems is a strong plus.
- Exposure to game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud-based AI infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to convert research ideas into production-quality algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for gaming, with an appreciation for AI-driven gameplay, content generation, and player engagement.
Education & Experience
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in AI algorithm development, generative modeling, or applied machine learning (gaming or interactive media experience is a plus).
Travel Requirements
- Role based in the Singapore office, with occasional travel (up to 1 trip per year) for conferences, research collaborations, or business meetings.
