We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding critical systems that support essential public services. In this position, you will be at the forefront of cybersecurity operations—designing, implementing, and monitoring security measures to ensure compliance with government policies and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cybersecurity support for system operations to ensure compliance with government policies.
- Review, design, and implement security measures, processes, and controls for the Authority’s systems.
- Review audit reports and assessments conducted by auditors, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, host configurations, IT general controls, and risk assessments.
- Conduct reviews and gap analysis on monthly reports, providing recommendations to ensure compliance with Authority and government policies.
- Monitor and follow up on known vulnerabilities and risks within the Authority’s environment and systems.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches, including conducting forensic analysis when required.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
- Design and oversee the implementation of cybersecurity solutions to protect against threats and attacks.
- Review and verify system security posture, policies, and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance with standards.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on cybersecurity strategies and emerging technologies.
- Conduct security awareness training for the Authority and appointed contractors to promote a strong security culture.
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to strengthen the Authority’s security posture.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Consultant or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of government security ICT/SS policies, cybersecurity industry standards, ICT governance, risk management frameworks, and practical experience in government sector implementations.
- Hands-on experience in conducting or reviewing security tests such as risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, host configuration reviews, and IT general controls.
- Good understanding of ICT infrastructure, applications, and web/cloud services.
- Professional certifications such as CREST, CRISC, CGEIT, or CISSP (preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
