Weβre recruiting on behalf of a global technology services provider supporting a world-leading organisation. This opportunity sits within a high-availability network operations team focused on routing, switching, and traffic flow across large-scale production networks.
This role is well suited to a junior to mid-level Network Engineer looking to build hands-on experience in a global environment working primarily with Cisco and Juniper technologies.
The Role:
- Support networks and internet peering environments
- Assist with monitoring traffic flow, capacity, and network performance
- Troubleshoot Layer 1β3 network issues across routing and switching platforms
- Work primarily with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies
- Handle network and traffic-related queries from ISPs and internal teams
- Act as an initial escalation point for incidents raised within the team
- Support outage investigations and assist with root cause analysis
- Participate in network performance reviews and operational meetings
- Collaborate closely with regional and global network teams
Requirements:
- Diploma or higher qualification in IT, Networking, or a related field
- 1β3 years of hands-on experience in a network engineering or NOC environment
- Experience supporting Cisco or Juniper routing and switching technologies
- Working knowledge of BGP and exposure to OSPF or IS-IS
- Basic understanding of internet traffic flow and network peering
- Familiarity with fiber-optic fundamentals and data centre environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with global teams and ISPs
