The Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist – Supply Chain at GHC is responsible for streamlining and improving the end-to-end supply chain processes within the organization. This role involves identifying performance gaps, eliminating waste, standardising processes and driving measurable, sustainable improvements across procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing and supplier management, This position involves implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize our supply chain activities including cost efficiency, service levels, compliance, lead times and operational resilience, as well as overseeing supplier performance through data analyses to support business objectives. Actively identifying and implementing improvements across various functions. Fostering continuous improvement by eliminating waste and inefficiencies within the Supply Chain Organization, ensuring measurable and sustainable improvements in service levels.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Create business cases for sourcing strategies and create presentations for the business cases
  • Work with suppliers for strategic sourcing solutions or continuous improvement and negotiate the contracts
  • Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement across the supply chain processes (procurement, inventory, logistics and supplier management) aligned with industry best practice.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate procurement, inventory & logistics service levels and supplier performance against established KPIs.
  • Implement best practices for supply chain efficiency, order processing, and supplier relationship management.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and operational processes.
  • Develop, implement, and manage supply chain continuous improvement projects aligned to business and financial objectives using methodologies such as 5S, VSM, Lean Six Sigma, or Kaizen and report progress on a periodic basis.
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops and initiatives involving cross-functional teams.
  • Define MRP/ERP system deficiencies, areas of improvement, and coordinate implementation of the improvement initiatives with IT department and other stakeholders.
  • Analyse supply chain and operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
  • Generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements and waste reductions.
  • Identify and assess problematic suppliers, part numbers, or materials that have historically caused delays, quality issues, or increased costs.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to develop strategies for addressing and improving the performance of these suppliers or parts.
  • Conduct thorough data analyses to assess supplier performance against established KPIs.
  • Identify underperforming suppliers and work with them to improve their performance.
  • Collaborate within the supply chain organization to evaluate and select potential new suppliers based on performance data.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring a reliable source of materials.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to control material costs and find opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Optimize budgeting and cost control efforts to align with company goals.
  • Assessing and quantify the positive impact of continuous improvement efforts and present the impact to management and implement process improvements and changes, tracking key performance indicators to measure the impact.
  • Regularly assess and document the benefits realized from process enhancements, such as cost savings, reduced lead times, improved service levels, and increased operational efficiency.
  • Standardize and document supply chain processes to ensure consistency and compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Continuously improve technical skills in GHC MRP and ERP systems.
  • Such other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.2. Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and continuous improvement initiatives, preferably in the aviation or MRO industry.
  • Experienced professional with relevant certifications on Process Improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using MRP (AMOS) / ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation materials, parts, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Advanced Excel, BI, ERP reporting tools).

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain including 4-5 years in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Transformation roles.
